Morris Albert (born Maurício Alberto Kaisermann, 7 September 1951 in São Paulo, SP, Brazil is a Brazilian singer and songwriter which sold albums in more than 50 countries, totaling 160 million copies. Famous for his 1975 hit “Feelings” and “She’s My Girl” as well as other songs he composed in English. He currently lives in Italy.
Morris Albert due his success as a singer more later made participations in some programs of Os Trapalhões in the phase of Rede Tupi, when were placed musical frames interspersed with the comic pictures.
Albert is best known as a one-hit wonder for his 1975 international hit single “Feelings”, a soft rock piece that hit the top 10 in both the United States and United Kingdom based on a melody composed by Loulou Gasté. (Albert original claimed the melody as his own, but was later successfully sued by Gasté) The single sold over one million copies, and was awarded a gold disc by the RIAA on 13 November 1975.
